Steps in your acne routine:
Step 1: Salicylic Acid Cleanser
Tip* Cleansing regularly will help reduce breakouts
Step 2: Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Tip* Use Hyaluronic Acid on damp skin, it ensures moisture is drawn into the skin
Step 3: Niacinamide Serum, Beta Hydroxy Acid Serum, Succinic Acid Treatment
Tip* Succinic is a great treatment – the earlier you use it the faster it gets to work
Tip * Use Niacinamide Serum and BHA in different routines ie one morning and one night. BHA can be sensitizing so Niacinamide Serum can then irritate the skin if used together
Step 4: Vitamin BCE Moisturizer
Tip* Moisturizing is for all skin types, its locks and seals the benefits from the previous steps in your routine
Step 5: SPF
Tip* SPF is important to use, especially if you’re using actives so add this to your daily morning routine
Dr Zion Tips for Treating Acne:
Tip 1: If your skin is breaking out, minimize your routine and build it back up gradually
Tip 2: To minimalize hormonal acne, track your cycle and 7 days before start to incorporate an acne specific product. When your cycle is ending, phase this product out.
Tip 3: To treat individual blemishes, make sure you cover the area surrounding the blemish to reduce the pores underneath from flaring up and creating more breakouts
