HYDRATING VS MOISTURIZING - WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Hydrators work to increase the water content of the skin. These target dehydrated skin. E.G. Hyaluronic Acid. Moisturizers help seal moisture into the skin. These target dry skin. E.G. Vitamin B, C and E Moisturizer.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEHYDRATED SKIN AND DRY SKIN?

Dehydrated skin is caused by lack of water and can leave skin dull. Dry skin is caused by a lack of oil and leaves skin feeling tight and flaky.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

Products can take up to six weeks to show full results, due to the time it takes for your skin cells to turnover and the results of any products to reach the surface. Consistency is key, so apply regularly even if you’re not seeing the effects straight away. It can be very tempting to increase use of some products to try and see quicker results, don't overdo it though. More is not necessarily more, and overuse can cause irritation and sensitivity.

Super moisturizing

The texture is a light weight cream so at first I thought it wouldn’t be as moisturizing as my other moisturizers but it definitely steps up. With all the different vitamins (especially e) it is super moisturizing, definitely getting another bottle when I run out, which is soon. I hope one day Inky List makes a larger bottle with this formula because the size does not compare to my other moisturizers.

Not satisfied

I have a dry skin which is why I was looking for a moisturizer. It doesn't work. Once I use it, it's like I didn't moisturize at all. My skin is still looking and feeling dry after applying 3 time. So, I won't recommend this, especially if you have a dry skin.

Hey Mag! You may need further moisture from elsewhere if you have super dry skin. You could try applying an oil such as Squalane after your moisturiser to help provide this extra layer of hydration 🖤

I don’t recommend this for Acne prone skin.

This moisturizer broke me out even more under my chin. I didn’t read the ingredients before using this but I was forced to check the ingredients due to the breakouts, only to find out it contains coconut oil.

Hey! Thank you for your feedback 🖤 Coconut Oil has many benefits; it has wonderful softening and barrier forming properties, which is why it is often formulated into products that form a protective barrier. Although an ingredient may be considered comedogenic, that isn't necessarily down to the ingredient, but how it is formulated. This isn't to say it won't be problematic for some, but we do not use ingredients considered to be comedogenic 🖤

no frills moisturizer

was looking for something simple and effective. not too expensive. i came from Youth to the People and was tired of paying such a high price for a small amount. the INKEY list attracted me with its mission for good, genuine skincare without the sephora cost. absolutely satisfied with this moisturizer and their other products.

Maybe not ideal for dry skin

I usually get dry patches around my nose and on my forehead and while this moisturiser has the best texture, it doesn’t do much for me personally as my dry spots reappear a few hours after applying. I think it would be great for oilier skin though, as it’s very lightweight and doesn’t irritate the skin at all.

Hi Anna,

thank you so much for this feedback, we really appreciate it! If you find yourself getting dry patches, we would recommend looking at regular exfoliation with products such as Lactic Acid, PHA toner, Alpha Hydroxy Acid. On top of that you may want to look at extra hydrating products such as Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid, Peptide Moisturizer and Squalane.
