6 Ways INKEY Makes An Impact

At The INKEY List, People and Planet have always been at the heart of what we do and over the last two years we have been actively working towards becoming a certified BCORP and to create more moments of knowledge powered change.

Here are 6 ways we are pushing ourselves to do better:

1. BEING A NET ZERO COMPANY

   We measure, track and actively work to reduce our carbon footprint and we are a certified Net Zero company. Check out our latest measures. Being a Net Zero company means we are balancing the carbon we create with removing carbon elsewhere, as well as reducing the amount of carbon we create altogether.
   
   

2. WE’RE CRUELTY FREE

   We believe that beauty should not harm and all our products have been Leaping Bunny certified. The Leaping Bunny is the globally recognised gold standard for cruelty free cosmetics, personal care, household and cleaning products and demonstrates that a brand is genuinely committed to removing animal testing from its supply chain.
   
   All of our cosmetic products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme. This means we adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited. As standard we do stability and microbiological testing to ensure product safety. We also do a full safety assessment on each product which is carried out by an accredited toxicologist.
   
   

3. WE ARE RECYCLABLE

   Our packaging now uses a minimum of 50% Post Consumer Resin (PCR) and this has saved over 120 tonnes of virgin plastic being created (and we are working to improve this even more!) All of our packs are now recycle-ready, which means, subject to your local recycling systems, every part of our packaging can be recycled, making it easy for you to separate and sort.
   
   

4. THE INKEY IMPACT FUND

   We set up the INKEY Impact Fund, in partnership with Ashoka. The INKEY Impact Fund has elevated 7 young changemaker leaders and supported over 10 grassroots organisations led by young people globally!
   
   What makes it so special is that it’s run WITH YOUNG PEOPLE, FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. Together, the Impact Fund promotes youth co-leadership and CHANGEMAKING in education. The Fund directly invests in young people and the ecosystem around them - educators, parents, guardians, schools, and more – to activate more changemakers and create lasting CHANGE in the world. 5. WE SUPPORT CHANGEMAKERS
   

   A changemaker is someone who imagines a new reality, takes action and collaborates with others to bring that new reality into being for the good of others. We work really closely with our charity partner Ashoka to create revolutionary change in education, advocating youth co-leadership within global education programmes.
   
   Ashoka’s vision is of a future where ALL of us play a role, no matter how small, in solving problems for the good of all. Over the last 20 years, Ashoka has supported young changemakers across the globe to make positive changes in their communities. For us, it’s the perfect partnership because we all believe in a shared vision where Knowledge can really power change!
   
   

6. WE ARE BCORP
   

   And we couldn’t not mention our most recent news! The INKEY List is officially a BCORP!
