Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum can be used twice daily in your AM & PM skincare routine.
We suggest using Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum as your first serum after cleansing.
Apply a pea-sized amount to face and neck and follow with preferred treatments and moisturiser to seal the benefits into skin.
Always finish with SPF for your AM routine.

Do I use this with Hyaluronic acid, or instead of? Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum is perfect for those looking to hydrate and focus on barrier strengthening. As this serum is clinically proven to deeply hydrate up to 10 surface layers deep, you do not need to use Hyaluronic Acid Serum as well. If you want to use both in your routine, you could use Hyaluronic Acid Serum in the morning and Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum in your PM routine. However, if you want to use both at the same time, there is no harm - you can never have too much hydration!

Can I layer it with other products? Yes! You can safely use it with all other ingredients both AM and PM. What products should I not layer together?

What are the benefits of Ectoin Serum providing simultaneous hydration and barrier support?Although they are two different things, hydration and barrier work hand-in-hand and one cannot be healthy without the other. If your skin barrier is damaged, your skin will not be able to retain hydration effectively. And equally, if your skin is dehydrated, your barrier will be compromised. This is why replenishing your hydration whilst simultaneously repairing your barrier is essential for optimizing your skin’s health. Our Ectoin Hydro-Barrier Serum has been uniquely formulated with ingredients that work synergistically to provide deep, multi-level hydration whilst strengthening the skin barrier from the outside-in.

Can I use make-up on top of it? Yes, however we recommend leaving 30-60 seconds between applying each product to allow the skincare to absorb to reduce the risk of pilling.

Does it have SPF? No, this formula does not contain SPF.

How long will it take to see results?Products can take up to six weeks to show full results, due to the time it takes for your skin cells to turnover and the results of any products to reach the surface. Consistency is key, so apply regularly even if you’re not seeing the effects straight away. It can be very tempting to increase use of some products to try and see quicker results, don't overdo it though. More is not necessarily more, and overuse can cause irritation and sensitivity.

Is this product vegan?Yes! This product contains no animal derivatives and is now certified by The Vegan Society.

Completely dries out skin
I have dry skin and this product further dries out my skin. After use, even though I follow with a moisturizing serum and a moisturizer my skin feels very tight and very dry.
