I've been using the Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Scalp Treatment for about 3 months now with different shampoos. I was hoping that this would help me address the dandruff on my scalp. On the whole I feel that it definitely helped, the amount of dandruff on my scalp right after shampooing has decreased, but it is still there. Although I do feel that the type of shampoo that you use also contributes to it (I saw better results using a coconut and shea butter shampoo bar fyi). That's one star down.
The second star went down because of the application. Since the formulation is so watery it is very difficult to spread it evenly on my scalp, and I'm not even sure of how much of it reaches my scalp (since I have a lot of hair, I have a feeling that my hair captures the formulation before it gets the chance to reach the scalp? Not so sure).
Also I felt that for my scalp, 10 minutes might have been too long so I tried to limit the contact time by mixing it with my shampoo (thus basically washing it off right after). This was recommended on the bottle but I have mixed feelings about it, since then the formulation wouldn't have enough time to work? Would appreciate a clarification of what would be the generally recommended minimum time for the formulation to sit on the scalp :)
