GIVING A HELPING HAND

The Covid-19 pandemic is one of the hardest challenges we will face, it has affected so many and we are grateful to so many who are working tirelessly to help us all, every single day. We hope you and your loved ones are all keeping safe.

This is a longer-term problem than spring (remember Mark is a virologist) and the fact is that whilst we will get through this, we will only truly do that through a vaccine and other medicines being available on mass to treat and prevent the disease.

So, we may have been a little quiet, but we have been heads down, trying to find a way to help as many people as we can as a small business can over the next 18 months.

We’ve given much thought to the multiple ways we could try to help. The truth is as a young business we cannot produce or afford to donate large amounts of hand sanitizer (and stay afloat) as much as we would love to. We do not sit on a huge stock holding (as many of you are unfortunately seeing for yourselves, we’re sorry!)

But what we can do, is what we do best. Think a bit differently and create great products.

So here’s what we’re going to do…We’ve seen first-hand from friends and family how frequent hand washing and sanitizing is painfully affecting health and key workers. We also know it is difficult for anyone to get hold of hand sanitizer at the moment and that has driven up the price to unreasonable levels, making it harder to access physically for most and financially for many.

That’s why we’re launching our not-for-profit 70% Alcohol Treatment. It’s a great product, packed full of moisturizing ingredients that help protect and prevent dry hands. The added bonus is a donation from yourselves, every 30ml bottle purchased donates a 200ml bottle to those who need it most.

This means in the next 18 months we can donate up to 180,000 200ml bottles. We want to be reactive to the situation and donate where needed, so we don’t know the full list of organisations they will go to just yet. For full transparency, and because we want to share with you, we will keep a list of where all donations have been received on our website here

Our focus will be on the following people:

  • Healthcare workers
  • Key workers
  • Low income families and people suffering financial hardship
  • Those affected by homelessness

Hand sanitizer should not be a luxury item. For us this is a starting point. We will be communicating soon more information on a project close to our hearts that we are accelerating as fast as we can.
